This piece had its genesis in an attempt to use the piano to create long-term sustained sounds suitable for late-night listening, and resulted in an effects chain that I used for improvisations, seeding occasionally with another fragment of pre-recorded piano music. Three such improvisations were superimposed to create the final piece. All sounds are generated from the piano.
